About Our Community Equipment Service
The service we provide
Our service is provided to people of all ages in the community setting. The service supports people who live in the county of Surrey or whose NHS GP is based within Surrey.
The service includes delivery and installation, servicing and maintenance, and collection of equipment that has been ordered by a health or social care professional. We also make simple adaptations to people’s homes to enable safe access in and around their home.
How to get equipment
Your local NHS service (usually an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or nurse) or Adult/Children’s Social Care team at Surrey County Council can organise the equipment for you if you are eligible.
The relevant professional will order suitable equipment. You cannot order equipment directly from the community equipment service provider.
Returning equipment
When you no longer need your equipment, it can be returned for recycling.
